Gil Eriksen, L.C.S.W., C.A.P. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Professional in the private practice of psychotherapy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
We are taught to believe in the systems that protect us, and to protect the systems that tell us what to believe. Sadly, we never really learn how to think, and so, stay confused for most of our lives. Reliability, accountability, and availability are not valued priorities in most cultures; instead, people are forced to accept unreliability and unaccountability, and experience nothing even close to availability. The result is that everyone ends up feeling isolated, lonely and confused. This book is a social and political commentary, and a handbook for people suffering the consequences of poor information and lack of personal fulfillment. Confusion — and confusion about confusion — is a result of living with a contrived and less than human approach to social living. Clarity can be reached by all if society — and you personally — will change the focus of attention and come to value the integrity of all. We have been living democracy theoretically
When Acceptance is Denial is the product of fifteen years of extensive work in mental health with recovering families, as well as 55 years of ongoing effort at coming out of societal and personal confusion. His writings draw on a lifetime of personal experiences and observations, along with the growing awareness of thousands of individuals, couples and families. Gil holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, and an A.A. degree in Business Administration from Wilbur Wright College in Chicago.
only, and this book calls attention to that fact. A new perspective can help to actualize, operationalize, and vitalize what we say we believe and idealize (or idolize).

Confused About Confusion
By Gil Eriksen
• Secrets of the System
• Naming What’s Wrong
• Identifying the Consequences
• Recognizing Truth and Making Decisions
A simple way to begin to think your way out of bad and poor information and non-productive, dead-end thinking that keeps you confused, indecisive, and going nowhere in your life.
We live in a time when awareness is shifting at an unparalleled pace, yet we continue to try to live by old-time standards and ways — making continuous confusion a fact of life. If you’re confused and don’t know why, this book speaks to that shift in awareness.
